About Kristin Reilly Dance
Hello, and thank you for the interest in my dance company. My name is Kristin Reilly. My Husband and I moved to Tokomaru in 2014 from Auckland. I have had a passion for dance since I was taken to my first dance class at 3 years old. From the moment I stepped on stage, clad in a silver sequin dress and holding a giant glittered star, I was hooked on performing and dancing. |

The rush of performing carried me through my adolescence, spending my evenings and weekends rehearsing, performing in shows and productions, and competing in the local dance competitions. I studied a range of styles throughout this time, including Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary and Hip-Hop.
After completing High School still passionate about dance, I went on to do a Diploma in Performing Arts (UCOL, Palmerston North) and a Bachelor in Dance Studies (University of Auckland, Auckland). During my time in these facilities I grew my love of dance, and discovered the rewarding feeling of sharing this love with children.
I went on to further educate myself by gaining a Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Primary) (Massey University, Palmerston North). There I learned how to create a positive, supportive and enthusiastic environment to teach students from a variety of backgrounds.
I decided to start the company as a passion project. I love dance. I love the sense of freedom from turning, the sense of accomplishment from acing something challenging, the sense of being part of a group. I want to bring this love to our community here in Tokomaru.
Six years, a toddler and 3 dogs later, I'm so proud of how the studio is growing and fostering the love of dance in the future generations.
Please do not hesitate to contact me through the 'contacts' tab or through Facebook or Instagram.
